about

This recording captures Liquid Friction Assemblage’s set at a show celebrating the life and work of Keith Sinzinger (1954-2018), one of the pillars of the DC area experimental music world. LFA, a group that, along with Gary Rouzer, Chris Videll and Daniel Barbiero originally included Keith when it was formed in summer 2010, reunited for the occasion with Dave Vosh taking the now-empty fourth chair. Our performance, and the recording that documents it, is dedicated to Keith's good-humored spirit of invention and love of using unlikely things to make sound.

Daniel Barbiero - iPad
Gary Rouzer - prepared electric bass, cassette tapes, objects, saw
Chris Videll - moog mother 32, analog noise generator, lab coat
Dave Vosh - noise swatch, driven cymbal, electronics, lab coat
