Pieces for Cello in Disorder and Flow Vol. 2

This is the second in a series of small batch self-releases that document my current cello investigations in a playful but serious manner.

The idea of letting the instrument play what it wants, instead of always forcing it to become what others say is “beautiful”, has been my approach in addition to traditional study. When I do this I ignore the immense historical baggage of the instrument and focus on a childlike fascination with sound.

To dive deeply into the present moment is my desire when playing and performing. I’m not concerned with perfection on this recording,
only honesty.

All of the above pieces were improvisations that were later edited into abstract narrative compositions. They contain none of my usual amplified objects, electronics, or field recordings, only an acoustic cello in a room.

All tracks recorded, edited, and mixed at home.
